I lay down on the web
The web of lights and currents
The information slowly ebb
in a wash of slutty comments
Who are you to say
You suck, everything is wrong
You're fake and gay
The words which makes the weak strong
You can find every secret
Security always comes up short
There's everything on the net
Every fact you can contort
It's sucking the life of all
The imprint is there to see
The chats, the merchandise, it's a mall
You could get everything you could perceive
Why we forsake freedom
So we can slouch in the dark
Why do we sell our life to the modem
When you can just go to the park
Web is made for the spider
It could catch the pest and save the gardens
but as a tortured soul, it's a biter
that poison you into the heavens
I lay down in the net
in the home of over a billion people
I throw myself as a bet
but I couldn't follow...but an apple

Hips taking over youtube... and other stuff
I was reading Alex Day's blog about Youtube Advertising, which I was interested not because I want to advertise on youtube but 'interestness' of Ad companies trying to play with the new media, and how's that working out for you, then when he said something about Rise of the Planet of the Apes, I realized that the 'advertisers' were not like Shaycarl or Lisa Nova but Kristina, Luke and rest of the Wrock or more generally the Hips. This was the first attempt to make hip something of a media producer, something that can sell ads or products. Going big.
This leads to some concerns. Of course, people still watch Shaycarl, who recently gained one million subscribers, but to people with taste Shay has fallen down quite considerably over the years. The question is that will the Hips fall into the same pits as far-right did in 2010 or so, or will they make creative content, whilst selling product, that is both entertaining and profitable, like Wheezy waiter or Alex Day.
(Strange thing happened in the Fiesta Retrospective, where the original participants - the first where famous backgrounders made their pitch - talk about the fiestas after one year, the comment in all of commercial were mean and trollish, - more specifically, the zombie one was plain stupid, the one guy I didn't know, Brittani Louise Taylor was interesting but let's face it she's annoying for most, LilyLuay was bland, and Wheezy Waiter... wait - except for Wheezy. I take that account into proving that Wheezy was an evil overlord, and therefore proving that Dan Brown (the vlogger) is a psychic.)
So put your thought about Hips first foray into blatant ads and how it might decrease their quality.
